Voronoi-based generation of complex microstructures and applications to full-field crystal plasticity modelling

In this presentation we introduce different types of tessellations and explain how they can be used by presenting several micromechanics cases of study. A focus is made on the plasticity of polycrystals with bimodal grain size distribution: a model has been developed on the basis of experimental analyses performed on a stainless steel, concerning both its microstructure main metrics and its tensile elastoplastic properties for different grain size distributions.
